What You Do At Wal-Mart That Drives Me Crazy-Kris’ Blog
Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011Hi there,
Been another crazy week and it’s still got half way to go. Just a heads up- It’s close to Tax time and if you have to do the detailed forms you better get on it. My question of the week. Why do people always pay for things separately at Wal Mart? Rarely do I go through a line there where the person in front of me does not say something like “Yeah and I want to pay for these items separate”. What is that all about? Drives me nuts. Officially started my p90x again to be ready for summer. It’s going to be great this time. Got my back fixed and am ready to be serious about it. Exciting for me. Hope everyone is doing something to be healthy and better. If you’ve done P90X I’d love to know what a sample menu was for you. I’m trying to keep mine simple. BTW, does anyone know a good travel agency that wants to be our official agency? We are trying to get sponsors for the webpage and thought a good travel agency would be cool. ACM’s and Vegas is coming. Strap on another liver. Should be an interesting award show this year with Aldean and Blake starting to get recognition. Someone new always means somebody gets pushed out that’s usually been a star for a while. Ahh, the circle of life. Kendra from Dancing with the Stars was on the show. She was ok, and Ronnie Dunn came in studio. Man that guy is amazing. Can’t wait for his cd to be out! The Sara Evans CD is selling a lot! Top of iTunes chart. It’s really good. I still dig the Jerrod Niemann cd too. Putting the finishing touches on our “Tony and Kris Fly Aways!” Many great trips to see many AWESOME shows. It’s easy to win too. Details coming soon.
On a new station next week!- Kris’ blog
Saturday, February 26th, 2011Hi there,
This is a blog I am writing cause a friend pointed out “how lucky” I
am to be in this business. This is so weird to me because Tony and I
really don’t think about it much anymore because we have done this so
long. It made me realize, I need to appreciate the things that happen
to us, that we get to take in, instead of thinking of it as work. What
I mean, is just listen to what’s going on next week for us. Brad
Paisley/Darius Rucker show and after party, get to go to Ronnie Dunn’s
house, chat with the Doobie Brothers (yes the Doobie’s and I intend to
ask about when Rerun tried to bootleg their concert on “What’s
Happening”) hang with Gwyneth Paltrow and the entire Sony music roster
during a private boat show, plus several other shows. It really is
crazy if you think about. We will post a lot of pictures.
If you read my blogs you know I have tried my hand at some
songwriting. I am working on getting them filmed and put up on the
website. My co-writers Josh, Brian, Susie are performing them in
places around town and getting great reaction. Kind of cool.
The Oscar Awards are this weekend and I know that “King’s Speech is
expected to win big and is real good. I wish True Grit and Toy Story 3
would actually win some stuff too. Loved the Fighter also.
Speaking of movies. Check out the trailer for Hangover 2 in our gossip section. Can’t wait for that movie!
We have a NEW station starting the first and are very excited.
Several stations are doing the paperwork and getting the equipment to
add the show so lot’s of additions soon. Thank you all for helping our
dream come true. We really appreciate it so much.

Sunday, February 20th, 2011February is zipping by & hopefully that means winter is getting out of town soon. I’ve learned that after having spent 16 years in a climate that hovers mostly in the 60s & 70s year-round, having to make it through a “real” winter
is literally making me sick. I was hooked up with that nasty bug in January that went right into a cold I’ve had all of February. Enough already! Sorry to be a whiner, but that’s what guys do. You know that.
Candy can be on death’s door & still run kids back & forth, make dinner, run errands, etc. I’ve got this cold & have already picked out my suit for the funeral.
I know “Survivor” isn’t what it used to be, kind of hit & miss from season to season, but if this season’s first tribal council is any indication I think it could be the best season in a few years.
I’ve never seen one person absolutely destroy another player’s plan so freely. A guy called out others for trying to get him to vote for a certain player & he revealed who has the immunity idol. Really fun TV!
Speaking of fun reality TV, I’m excited for the new season of Amazing Race that starts tonight. Teams that didn’t win on their season are back to try again. They’ve lined up some really great competitors. Should be a blast.
On the family front, no big news for most of us, except Meredith. She auditioned for a musical last week and was cast as one of the main characters. She’s excited & we’re happy to see her getting involved with theatre again.
She was really into it in California but was slow to get back to it here. Without sounding like a “stage dad” I have to say she’s pretty talented so I’m glad to see her putting it to use again.
I don’t buy into to horoscopes & numerology, but this is kind of interesting. It says that you can tell a lot about yourself by the day you were born. Check it out & see if it’s accurate for you. It was pretty close for me. Here’s the link:

I guess that’s it for now. Make sure you get Chris Young’s new single, “Tomorrow” on iTunes. It’s awesome! Ronnie Dunn’s first solo single, “Bleed Red” is worth the buck you’ll spend as well.
Three songs you HAVE to get! Kris’ Blog
Tuesday, February 8th, 2011Hello there,
Just a quick update on what all is happening with me this week. Really excited to be on a New Station sort of. WHMA the Big 95 in Anniston, Alabama. That’s the station with the same boss (Tex Carter) we had almost 20 years ago when Tony and I started. Really means a lot to us. Went to a number one party for Chris Young last night. Chris’ song Voices was his 3rd number one in a row and it was a real calm party compared to the last two he had. I know cause I totally remember being at this one. LOL. We have Chris on the show this week too. Have not had a chance to meet up with my friends Brian, Josh, and Susie lately to work on the songs we are writing. Miss doing that. We are gearing up for some other big announcements coming soon. Trips, Stars, and new places to hear the Tony and Kris Show. I really want to see “Just Go With It’, I am not a huge Sandler fan but I did love Waterboy and I took a girlfriends daughter and friend to see Bedtime Stories a long time ago and really thought it was cute. The new Country Music Festival lineup will be announced soon here in Nashville. It is in June and worth a trip for sure. Bonaroo is about the same time here and it has lots of music too. Fun! I fell apart early this month with a hurt knee and hurt back but getting over it and back at it. How about that Super Bowl. I tweeted before the game Packers 30-24 and it ended up Packers 31-25. Just call me Jimmy the Greek. Ran into Sara Evans and she will be on the show in a few weeks too, she is doing fine and coping with just turning 40. I’m sure we will discuss that when she is on with us. That’s about all I got right now. I have some of those silly surveys I always fill out and I’ll try to do a couple of those later this week.
Three suggestions to buy off Itunes: Jason Aldean- Don’t you wanna Stay, Tim McGraw-Felt Good On My Lips, Ronnie Dunn-Bleed Red (AMAZING SONG). Catch you all later!
Kris
