Hey there,
It has been an interesting week. Got some HORRIBLE news over the weekend. It’s really sad. A guy I’ve known for years, went to school with him and when I lived in San Diego he was stationed out there so we’d watch Bama games ever so often. He went off the radar a while back so I just figured we lost touch. Turns out he was sentenced to 40 years in prison for raping two underage girls. How horrible is that! I guess you really never know about someone. I had no idea he was capable of that. I’m still in shock about it. Feel so bad for people involved.
Onto some other things. Had an afternoon date Sunday and we saw Moneyball. It was really good! Think any business can apply the lesson in that movie about changing and growing with the times or you get left behind. We went to Drakes, one of my favorite places (great bloody marys) My date pointed out that I fidget constantly. She said I’m always shifting, leaning up, leaning back, popping knuckles, etc. Never really noticed I guess, although I’ve had other folks say stuff about it but I never paid attention to it. Could have been the two Red Bulls I had. LOL. Do you fidget a lot? Pop Your knuckles? I can’t be the only one that is always moving around.
Had a cook out for the Bama/Florida Game and we had “Gator” meat. It was my first time trying it. It taste like rubber chicken to me. Have you ever tried gator meat? What did you think? Thank goodness Alabama won. It’s been a good year so far.
We have been teasing some big announcements. The press release for one of the announcements was approved yesterday, so it should be any time now and the other HUGE announcement should be next week!
Talk to you soon.

Hope you all had a great weekend. Excited about the songwriting song thing I’ve been trying. Here is how it works. You write a song, then you get a worktape of it. If it gets some good buzz, you get a professional demo done. We have been encouraged to get a demo of our latest song we wrote and are in the process of getting that done. It’s exciting. Look forward to posting it here for you to check out when it is done.
Speaking of writing, we met and wrote some at the Fontanel Mansion. It’s Barbara Mandrell’s old house. They kept it just like it was when she lived there. It’s like 20,000 sq. feet or something. The driveway is crazy long.
This is Country Music Festival Week. Tony and I have a lot going on with Keith Urban, Shania, Gary Allan, and Chris Young to just name a few. We will keep you posted on what all is going on.
That’s it for now. Have a great day and please tell a few of your friends to check out our webpage, facebook, and twitter. Thank you so much!

I can’t believe baseball season has started already.
I’m not a huge baseball fan (grew up watching the Braves on TBS), loved it back then. Going to N.Y. a few times to see the Yankees and hoping to get to Chicago for a Cubs game. Man I got some traveling going on. In addition to those trips I’m going to Tyler, Texas, Lexington, Ky., Gulf Shores, Al., San Diego, Ca. and the BVI.
This summer is filling up fast. (more…)
The Star A Day continues in October and spent an hour with Keith Urban. It was good to catch up with him. Pics and audio will be up at www.tonyandkris.com. There is also some video of him singing with Darius at a street party here in town doing a fun version of the “Joker”. You know I’m always talking about positive songs or happy songs. I’m hooked on one all weekend from the Boss. Check this out and see if it does not put a smile on your face.

A movie theatre in town is doing “Old Movies”. JAWS will be on the big screen here and we are having a “tailgate”. Expecting around 30 people plus a TV station wants to cover it. Pretty funny. We can make anything a party. Hope you all have a great day and I’ll check in again this week at some point.

Hey there,
Been a busy week. A number one party for Lady A at the Hard Rock Cafe here the other afternoon, the All for the Hall concert (pics on our website), and last night the “Guitar-b-que” on a street in front of my favorite bar “Losers” had a concert with Jake Owen, Chris Young, Randy Rogers Band, and David Nail. This town is so much fun. We give away our Fall Flyaway tomorrow for the trip here to Nashville for the World Movie Premiere of “Country Strong” and announce our next fall flyaway. Our star a day continues also. Blake Shelton with us in the morning. Always a weird time when we all get together. LOL. Below I filled out another one of those surveys…

Ok, I had a real cool survey that I deleted so I got to see if Tony has a copy of it so I can fill it out and put on here. It’s about songs and since I’m into lyrics I really liked it. Getting ready for a great long weekend. Brooks and Dunn’s last concert together is Thursday. Can’t wait to see it. I talked to my friend Brian who has been on the road with them and he said everyone is getting kind of sad knowing it’s about to be over. I’ll try to twitter during the show what is going on if you want to follow along at tonyandkris or kris5150. From what I understand, there is a pre-dinner we are going to and then Tyler Dickerson opening and then a 25 minute video of the History of Brooks and Dunn and when that ends it kicks right into the show. CMA noms are out and Miranda as expected ROCKED it. Congrats to her producer and our friend also Frank Liddell. Chris Young also got a nom for best new artist. Very excited for him. Loved Jimmy Fallen’s Emmy Opening singing Springsteen and that was about it for that show. Speaking of shows, Tony and Kris Fall Flyaway is underway and I’m telling you to make appointments to listen cause we are going to be flying a whole bunch of you to some GREAT SHOWS for the rest of the year! The first is Brad Paisley! He puts on a great show we got to check it out already and he is such a great showman. My college football season kicks off this week and I’m so excited. Sure I’m not the only one. Think that’s about it for now.

Hey,
It’s Kris. Just got back from Austin, Tx.. Aquapalooza was a lot of fun. Man a lot of boats and a lot of fun. Jerrod Neiman’s new cd is out and it is great. He played the show and we will talk with him this morning about the cd and his road to this point. I was out of town on a boat all weekend two weeks ago, now at Aquapalooza this past weekend, San Diego this coming weekend, and then to the Islands. I have not spent a weekend at home in so long. Got a song writing session tomorrow and the one song we are real excited about is very close to being done so we will try to get a sample copy of it up soon. Did you see Jimmy Buffett on CMT in Gulf Shores, Al. He was raising awareness for tourism down there. That is where my place is. I just love it there. It was a great show.http://bit.ly/99EGDo How about Mel Gibson, what a crazy, mean, racist, jerk. WOW. Can’t believe those calls. I just can’t believe anyone would talk to anyone like that. As angry or upset as I’ve ever been at someone, don’t think I’ve ever talked to them like that. I guess I just felt if you care about someone, you would not talk about them like that and if you don’t care about the person, why talk to them at all? It will be hard for Mel to ever come back from this. This city is so much fun. Can’t remember if I blogged or not but ran into Charles from Lady A on the golf course and he is going to call in on the show this week. It is so cool to be in this city and just run into someone and say “call us” and they do. If you read these, first of all thank you. I also hope you suggest this page and our show to all your friends wherever they may live. Our show is on track for the goal and some big announcements are coming by end of summer.
Thank you all for your support and friendship.
Kris went on a gravestone tour and found a couple tombstones worth noting!
Tony‘s son just got his driving permit and so far, so good. Kris remembers his dramatic ” learning to drive” story with his mom. We called Sherry to get both sides of this story.
