What Each Rating Means

G — General Audiences. All Ages Admitted. A G-rated motion picture contains nothing in theme, language, nudity, sex, violence or other matters that, in the view of the Rating Board, would offend parents whose younger children view the motion picture. The G rating is not a “certificate of approval,” nor does it signify a “children’s” motion picture. Some snippets of language may go beyond polite conversation but they are common everyday expressions. No stronger words are present in G-rated motion pictures. Depictions of violence are minimal. No nudity, sex scenes or drug use are present in the motion picture.

My dream life is one where I make a living from writing, which would allow me to wander the globe as I pleased. I know there are naysayers out there that would say that’s not very “practical” or “realistic.” But, you know what, I’ve tried to be “practical” and “realistic” my whole life, that’s my dad’s voice in my head. I’ve always been a planner, I’ve tried the “create a plan and follow it” route and that hasn’t gone, well, to plan. After the roller coaster that was my 2011, I decided to chuck the plan out the window and just start pursuing what makes me happy and what excites me, i.e. writing and travel.

The second man to accuse John Travolta of sexual assault has agreed to settle matters privately behind closed doors, Radar Online reports. The anonymous masseur, who claims Travolta assaulted him during a massage session in Atlanta this January, could stand to win a financial settlement from such a mediation. Regardless of the outcome, all witness statements, transcripts and depositions would be kept sealed and
out of the public eye.

A cast member of the reality TV show “Swamp People” died Monday, a Louisiana sheriff said.

Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack said Mitchell Guist was pronounced dead at a hospital. He had fallen while aboard his boat on the Intracoastal Waterway, near Pierre Part.

History, which produces the reality show with Original Media, said Guist would have turned 49 on Friday.

If you’ve wondered how Whitney Houston’s loved ones are coping with her recent death, Lifetime’s going to show you: The network’s picked up 10, hour-long episodes of a docu-series following members of Houston’s family.

Tentatively called “The Houston Family Chronicles,” the show will feature Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina; the late entertainer’s mother Cissy; her brother Gary and his wife Pat Houston, who was also Whitney’s manager; and the couple’s teen daughter, Rayah.

It’s me and it’s been a few weeks, sorry about that. Things as usual have been very busy but I’ve had some fun too. Got to see Van Halen and Kool and the Gang and it was great. I noticed something that Eddie Van Halen and Luke Bryan have in common. They both smile ALL THE TIME. It’s a cool thing and it’s contagious.
