Actor Daniel von Bargen, who played recurring character Mr. Kruger on the hit TV series “Seinfeld,” called 911 after he shot himself in the head in his Ohio apartment.

TMZ obtained the 911 call in which Von Bargen tells the operator, “I’ve shot myself in the head … and I need help.”

On March 17, Reba McEntire will release her first televised concert special in more than 15 years. The 90-minute special, ‘All the Women I Am,’ will premiere on GAC. Encompassing the energy of McEntire’s live show, much of the footage for the TV special will come from her recent concert at Louisiana’s Cajun Dome, where the longtime performer had a film crew come along with her and roll tape.

Last night went to the Nashville Lifestyles Magazine “Single In The City” party at a place called Sambuca here in Nashville. It was so much fun. Really have to thank Nashville Lifestyles Magazine for asking me to be in the issue. I’m sure they have a lot of pictures and video, I’ll try to share as soon as I see them. One thing I learned. Instead of a “Wingman” take a “WingWoman”. My friend Casey wanted to go so she went with me. If there was someone I wanted to talk to she was like I got this. She walked up and said “Where did you get those earrings?” then moved me into the conversation. Now the drawback is she has my sense of humor and several times when I’d be talking to someone she’d walk up and go “Honey let’s go, the baby keeps kicking”. It was a great time though.

There’s a big, fat problem on the set of “Biggest Loser” — TMZ has learned nearly all of the remaining contestants have walked off the show and are threatening to quit after learning about a secret “twist” that could seriously affect their shot at the $250,000 grand prize.

Multiple sources connected with the show tell us … the mutiny took place this week … when the losers got word that producers were considering bringing back previous contestants to compete for the grand prize.

Gasoline prices have never been higher this time of the year.

At $3.53 a gallon, prices are already up 25 cents since Jan. 1. And experts say they could reach a record $4.25 a gallon by late April.

“You’re going to see a lot more staycations this year,’’ says Michael Lynch, president of Strategic Energy & Economic Research. “When the price gets anywhere near $4, you really see people react.’’

Already, W. Howard Coudle, a retired machinist from Crestwood, Mo., has seen his monthly gasoline bill rise to $80 from about $60 in December. The closest service station is selling regular for $3.39 per gallon, the highest he’s ever seen.

“I guess we’re going to have to drive less, consolidate all our errands into one trip,’’ Coudle says. “It’s just oppressive.’’

The surge in gas prices follows an increase in the price of oil.

Salt at the ready, but according to the latest rumors you’re looking at the rear panel of the new third-gen iPad, complete with a larger lens for what’s tipped to be an 8-megapixel iPad 3 camera. The leaked component shows less of a taper to the edges, while the sources revealing it to Taiwanese language Apple Daily also claim that it will have a significant step up in rear camera quality from the current iPad 2.

We haven’t heard much since all the shenanigans of the departure of Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger from X Factor a few weeks ago. We did hear some rumors about Mariah Carey being a possible replacement, but nothing further has come of that goss.. for now. Today we have info that looks as if they might have chosen a new judge.. Miss Janet Jackson! It hasn’t been announced, but Janet was interviewed by Anderson Cooper and during that interview when she was asked about rumors of her joining the show, she stumbled and giggled and basically said that she couldn’t say anything… Oooh could Janet be the new judge to replace Paula or Nicole?

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Carl Edwards fell bitterly short in last season’s bid to win the NASCAR championship.

He’s starting 2012 out front.

Edwards, who lost the championship last season on a tie-breaker to Tony Stewart, won the pole for the season-opening Daytona 500, beating teammate Greg Biffle for the top starting spot during a windy Sunday qualifying session at Daytona International Speedway.
