Well, what a few days it’s been. I finished my taxes which I’m pretty thrilled about, had dinner at Kix Brooks house and I played golf with Jake Owen.
Before I get to all that, this is a tip you NEED TO USE. If you are like me and you lose your wallet every so often this is a great thing. My agent was in town and he flew across the country with NO I.D., sort of. He left his wallet but had a picture of his license on his iPhone. The app to get is called “My Eyes Only”. You can lock in passwords, photos, credit card info, etc.. I am using it and now I have my license, passport, credit cards, all of that locked away. If I lose my wallet, at least I know now I can get home. Thought that was a great tip from my agent.
We announce our first artist Monday for the Tony and Kris Country Cruise. Very excited. The artist is very cool and very talented. It’ll be fun to hang and party on the ship. Don’t miss the announcement and updates here at www.tonyandkris.com
We have added another station! We should have the official announcement in the next week. It’s very cool to be growing at the pace we are. Tony and I (many others too, JP, Andy, Paul, Sue, Dan, Steven) have worked so hard to make this happen. We appreciate you all for helping us with our dream.
I don’t know what to do with myself. 211 days til football season. Ha. Lots of stuff going on. We added Cat Country in Columbia, South Carolina to the family. Between them and Wheelz in Florence, we cover most of South Carolina. We are humbled and thrilled to be adding so many new stations. Thank you.
Hope everyone’s life is great. Lot to catch you up on. Tony and I (and some friends) went to New York last weekend for the CMT Tour. Lee Brice, Josh Thompson, and Luke Bryan played a show and we got to party with them a bit. Luke’s mom was there and she listens to us down in Albany on K-Country. She’s too funny. Josh Thompson went out and hit the town with us. You should buy some of his stuff on iTunes. Won’t Be Lonely Long is my favorite song by him. Took a jog through Central Park, and got to hang most of the day at ground zero. Amazing stories down there. See photos from the New York Trip HERE
Last night may have been one of the coolest things I’ve done in the 20 years of radio I’ve worked. Under the arena here is a rehearsal area for artist to get ready for their tours. Miranda invited about 20 of us to come see her last night of rehearsal. She had couches set up in front of the stage. Tony and I had a few drinks made for us and basically got our own FULL Miranda Concert. Loved the fact she’s got “strings” in the show this year. One of my favorites from her. The show is going to be great so get your tickets when it comes to your town. A lot of pics are posted. HERE!
Hope you catch some football this weekend and that your team does well. We are getting closer to our 2 big announcements. This coming week or so we should be able to let you in on at least one of them.
Hope all is well with everyone. It’s been a tough week. They say that Nashville is really bad for allergy and sinus issues. I’ve really had no trouble until yesterday. Got knocked on my butt, I’m back at it now though. My Grandma Betty died yesterday morning. All my grandparents are now gone. 🙁 She was an amazing woman, so many people make excuses and complain “poor, poor me”. If anybody had the right to that it was her. She had polio and had great difficulty walking. Over the years that messed up her back. She raised my Uncle and Mom by herself. She paid her own way and never complained about her circumstances. She suffered from Alzheimer’s the past few years and that was tough, especially on my mom. The last time I saw her, she did not know who I was, then out of nowhere right near the end of the visit she said “Well, Kristian I still remember that day of you playing in the snow”. She went into great detail about a day when I was 5 playing in the snow. She had told that story for years. A brief moment that she remembered. Anyway, it’s weird knowing that I don’t have any grandparents left. Talk to you all later and hope you take a moment today to call or write a note to those that are important to you.

Hope you are well. Had a very busy weekend here in Nashville. Had a nice Friday night with friends at a place called the Wine Loft and Sambuca. I tried to grab some videos from the bands that night. There are always bands in every place playing and most of the time they are pretty good.
Saturday night was Jake Owen/Keith Urban. You know I like motivational quotes and stuff like that. Keith sent me an email and I loved the quote he has at the bottom of his emails and thought I’d share it with you.
“Competition attempts to be LIKE.
Creativity attempts to be UNLIKE.
Competition casts all humanity into the same mold. Creativeness makes each of us a counterpart of God.”
Do you have any quotes you really like?
Keith was great as always and his after party and after-after party were something else.
The show was amazing. Both are such great entertainers. I gotta say that Jake’s new cd is unreal and I keep comparing it to what Bryan Adams “Reckless”. You know just one of those cds that everysong is great. What are the cds you have that you think EVERY song is good?
Jake Owen after show party
You know how bad the economy is now. A friend of mines mother is trying to get work and she was having trouble. She started a business in her apartment complex. She’s calling it “Mom Stuff”. She makes 10 bucks an hour to organize your kitchen, closets, do some laundry, and run errands for you. I thought that was pretty clever and she’s doing really well at it. What are some things you do to make a few extra bucks in these times?
Hope you have a great day!
Hey, Just a quick note to catch up with you. Hope all is well with you. Same old stuff with me. Had dinner with Chris Young last night before the Brittany Spears concert. It’s so good to see a real good guy having such success. He was trying to talk me into learning this GOLDEN TEE thing. He’s addicted to the game, so much in fact that they gave him some kind of frequent user card. How crazy is that? Did you ever have a video game you were addicted to? I guess, Astroids for me. Hope you had a great holiday weekend. I’ll get into my weekend in a second. Wanted to let you know that www.tonyandkris.com will be undergoing some changes here over the next few weeks. Jessica Northey a Social Media Expert/Queen/Top Dog has joined up with our show and will in charge of all our content online. She will also be on air with us from time to time letting us know what’s going on/trending etc.. Hope you welcome her with open arms.
If you listen to the show you know Tony and I have been lucky to enough to see/meet/become friends with a lot of artist and rarely do I get excited about a show. Saw U2 Saturday at Vandy Stadium and all I can say is “Wow”. It was amazing. Front row, against the rail for the show and I realize why they have been doing this for so long. ALL artist could learn from them. They connect with the audience so well and sounded great. Their stage was enormous and they just were cool. They sang “The Wanderer” appeared to be on the fly and that was a song that they did with Johnny Cash.
At the end of the show, they pulled a man on stage that had a sign that said “Blind Guitar Player” and let him play guitar for a song dedicated to his wife and then gave him Bono’s guitar. Can you imagine playing your wife a song with Bono singing it? see the video here! (Not my video) It was fun. AMAZING to hear the crowd sing every song as loud as they could.
Blake Shelton drops by this week and again changes at www.tonyandkris.com. Please do us a favor and mark the page as a favorite and spread the word. 🙂 Have a great day.
Hope everyone had a good weekend. It was a quiet one around Nashville. Attended a couple of artist showcases, worked some in the studio with Tony this weekend. We did find time to slip down to a bar we enjoy called Winners.
Those of you who know about me hurting my knee and that I’ve been trying to find ways to work out since then instead of running and boxing. Started this Hot Yoga thing and it is insane. It is a work out and I would have never thought that. I would take some pics but they don’t allow them. It’s pretty entertaining to see what some people think they look good in though. LOL. I’ll be glad when I can get back to running though.
Don’t get to see much tv so I know I’m like 5 years late on this but Criminal Minds is a GREAT show. Check it out if you get a chance. Saw it for the first time and it really is good.
Tony and I have a pretty big announcement scheduled for next week, if there are no delays. It will be cool.
