My Teens’ Overuse Of The “L” Words
Having spent a great deal of time with our youngest two kids this summer, I’ve been victimized by their verbal “crutches.”
Luckily, I’ve broken one of them.
Wow. I can’t believe my only son is graduating from high school. I guess I have to add this to my list of things that mean
life is rolling by too fast. He’s given me plenty of gray hairs over the years (which I guess I deserved since I did the same thing to my folks) but he sure has finished strong. As parents, we always talk about the thrill of watching our children grow & become great
adults. I’m happy to say that process is underway with Geoffrey & I couldn’t be more proud. He’s off to McNally Smith College of Music in the fall & I know I’ll get to see him accomplish amazing things in the music world someday.
Big week at the Randall house, as we prepare for…THE YARD SALE. Our dining room is full of stuff & we’re starting the pricing. What a chore! It’s interesting to see what becomes
a “keeper” & what goes in the “I guess we really don’t need that after all” pile. We’ve been a family for over 20 years & each time we’ve moved (which is more than I’d care to admit) we’ve always thinned the herd.
Yet here we are with several boxes of stuff, piles of clothes & a bunch of this & thats. We opened a box in the attic & it had several keepsakes from my childhood in it, mostly stuff I took out of my parents’ house when they died.
