Hope everyone has a great weekend. The year is winding down and we have some cool things to announce come the new year. Can hardly wait to share with you. Each one of you that are a part of our show and helping us grow mean so much to us and THANK YOU. I’m off to Vero Beach Florida for a Jake Owen Event and Chris Young will be there too. There might be some drinks. Trying to do better at snapping pics and will do my best to take some. I’ll turn 41 in warm sunny weather on the beach. It’s December. Wow. This year really did fly by. It’s been the most happy I’ve been in years. Our business is starting to really grow the way we intended. We will be back on in San Diego SOON. www.kson.com has a teaser up on their website. It’s exciting to be back in the city we were in so long. I’ll be turning 41 in a couple of weeks. It just so happens I’ll be at a great charity event in Florida with Jake Owen/Chris Young and a group of friends. Read about the Jake Owen Charity Event It should be a great time and I will post pics and videos.

It’s almost Thanksgiving and people are starting to freak out. Been out a few times shopping and it’s funny to me seeing people already angry and fighting. Guess it’s the season. I am on a streak however. It was raining all day yesterday and I had to hit a few places, first Wal Mart. Parking lot was a mad house. Usually I always park in the back and just walk up instead of wasting gas and the extra steps don’t hurt me. I pulled up and since it was raining, thought that I’d check out the front. 1st spot, got it. Green Hills Mall is a tough place to park and I pull up, first spot open. Left there and met a date for a drink at Crows Nest. No parking there, pull up and the 2nd spot is wide open. I feel like Cal Ripken must have felt when he was on his streak.
I’m not sure what I’m doing this Thanksgiving, I may end up in Gulf Shores, Alabama or I might stay here in Nashville. Everyone that knows me knows I’m a HUGE Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Our biggest rivalry Auburn plays us Saturday in the Iron Bowl on CBS. If Bama wins, we will get to go to the National Championship Game. Roll Tide! Hope you all are having a great week. Crazy time a place I play golf, hang out at the other night. A HUGE house caught fire and burned to the ground. I snapped a pic. Bringing it up cause it was started by a chimney that was not cleaned out in a few years. Make sure your chimney is CLEAN!
Here’s a weird one for you. Subway yesterday, I walked in and the lady in front of me ordered her sandwich by singing her order– ALL THE WAY from the bread to paying. She looked normal but every person there was just looking around like are we on a tv show or something. It was crazy. What’s the strangest thing you’ve seen while out shopping or getting food?
Tony and I head to Lexington, Ky tomorrow for the Taylor Swift concert. She is such an amazing kid. To think 5 years ago this week she released her fist song and now, WOW, just WOW. International superstar. Very happy for her and this show is very good so it will be great. Hope to see you all before the show at our tailgate party.
We are trying to hurry back from the show to get to a party or two. Lot going on here in Nashville, and a friend from San Diego is in town. Speaking of San Diego, thanks again to EVERYONE and the kind words. Looking forward to being back on KSON and we have a new station coming on in Palm Springs next week.
Halloween is here, please be careful and have fun! Hope you have a great costume like last year when Lee Ann Womack was Lady GaGa. LOL.

Things have been jumping around here. We have been so busy. First I have to say, just saw a commercial for the new Sandler movie. Did not think it would be possible to make a worse movie than Grown Ups but this Jack and Jill looks like it could be an all time BAD MOVIE. On to other things. We were thrilled to FINALLY be able to announce that we will be back on KSON in San Diego. We were there for so long, it’s nice to reunite with all of our old friends. I’m looking forward to being out there for a few days in the coming weeks. We should have ANOTHER southern California station on before Thanksgiving and that will be very cool.
The Tony and Kris Country Cruise is 1 year away and it’s selling fast. We hope you make plans to join us, cause it’s going to be a blast. I’m back down to the weight I was when I moved to Nashville. Back to running 4 miles a day, and working out pretty hard. Feel so much better when I work out pretty regular. What’s your favorite exercise? Your least favorite?
My Crimson Tide is playing pretty well and everybody is counting down to Nov. 5th. Alabama vs. LSU. It should be an awesome game.
Songwriting lately has not been happening as much. Been busy with work. Hope to get back into that soon. Supposed to write with a gal that I went out with a few times. That should produce some interesting songs. LOL

Hey there,
It has been an interesting week. Got some HORRIBLE news over the weekend. It’s really sad. A guy I’ve known for years, went to school with him and when I lived in San Diego he was stationed out there so we’d watch Bama games ever so often. He went off the radar a while back so I just figured we lost touch. Turns out he was sentenced to 40 years in prison for raping two underage girls. How horrible is that! I guess you really never know about someone. I had no idea he was capable of that. I’m still in shock about it. Feel so bad for people involved.
Onto some other things. Had an afternoon date Sunday and we saw Moneyball. It was really good! Think any business can apply the lesson in that movie about changing and growing with the times or you get left behind. We went to Drakes, one of my favorite places (great bloody marys) My date pointed out that I fidget constantly. She said I’m always shifting, leaning up, leaning back, popping knuckles, etc. Never really noticed I guess, although I’ve had other folks say stuff about it but I never paid attention to it. Could have been the two Red Bulls I had. LOL. Do you fidget a lot? Pop Your knuckles? I can’t be the only one that is always moving around.
Had a cook out for the Bama/Florida Game and we had “Gator” meat. It was my first time trying it. It taste like rubber chicken to me. Have you ever tried gator meat? What did you think? Thank goodness Alabama won. It’s been a good year so far.
We have been teasing some big announcements. The press release for one of the announcements was approved yesterday, so it should be any time now and the other HUGE announcement should be next week!

Hope everyone’s life is great. Lot to catch you up on. Tony and I (and some friends) went to New York last weekend for the CMT Tour. Lee Brice, Josh Thompson, and Luke Bryan played a show and we got to party with them a bit. Luke’s mom was there and she listens to us down in Albany on K-Country. She’s too funny. Josh Thompson went out and hit the town with us. You should buy some of his stuff on iTunes. Won’t Be Lonely Long is my favorite song by him. Took a jog through Central Park, and got to hang most of the day at ground zero. Amazing stories down there. See photos from the New York Trip HERE

Last night may have been one of the coolest things I’ve done in the 20 years of radio I’ve worked. Under the arena here is a rehearsal area for artist to get ready for their tours. Miranda invited about 20 of us to come see her last night of rehearsal. She had couches set up in front of the stage. Tony and I had a few drinks made for us and basically got our own FULL Miranda Concert. Loved the fact she’s got “strings” in the show this year. One of my favorites from her. The show is going to be great so get your tickets when it comes to your town. A lot of pics are posted. HERE!
Hope you catch some football this weekend and that your team does well. We are getting closer to our 2 big announcements. This coming week or so we should be able to let you in on at least one of them.

Hope all is well with everyone. It’s been a tough week. They say that Nashville is really bad for allergy and sinus issues. I’ve really had no trouble until yesterday. Got knocked on my butt, I’m back at it now though. My Grandma Betty died yesterday morning. All my grandparents are now gone. She was an amazing woman, so many people make excuses and complain “poor, poor me”. If anybody had the right to that it was her. She had polio and had great difficulty walking. Over the years that messed up her back. She raised my Uncle and Mom by herself. She paid her own way and never complained about her circumstances. She suffered from Alzheimer’s the past few years and that was tough, especially on my mom. The last time I saw her, she did not know who I was, then out of nowhere right near the end of the visit she said “Well, Kristian I still remember that day of you playing in the snow”. She went into great detail about a day when I was 5 playing in the snow. She had told that story for years. A brief moment that she remembered. Anyway, it’s weird knowing that I don’t have any grandparents left. Talk to you all later and hope you take a moment today to call or write a note to those that are important to you.

Several songs on it are SO GOOD.  I love “The One That Got Away”, Wide Awake, and Journey Of My Life to name a few although my favorite hands down that I feel I am living right now is called “Alone With You”.  Get this cd.

What’s up? Been busy here, had Danny Gokey on the show. His song “Secondhand Heart” is so good. A perfect song for anyone who has been divorced, gone through a break up, or lost a loved one. It really is amazing. Had a chance to hang with Tony and his family the other night which is always fun. We enjoyed a few episodes of “Hart To Hart” and few beverages.
We are getting into a busy time of year, Lady A, Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean and more great stars are all on the show soon. We also are putting the final touches on how you can spend a week with us and some country folks having a great time! Can’t wait for the details of that to be released.
We’ve been adding some new stations to the family and really appreciate it. Hope you help spread the word. Yucca Valley, Ca.- KX96 ,Lewistown, Pa.- Star Country 96.7, and our latest Florence, S.C.- Wheelz Country. We have more coming. It’s very exciting.

Had a chance to see country duo LOVE AND THEFT. They have a new cd produced by the famous Josh Leo coming in November. I was lucky enough to be at the studio and they played it for me. It’s REALLY GOOD. You will love it. While we were there Martina’s husband (owner of the studio) popped in and played us a remastered version of Thriller and Billie Jean by Michael Jackson that their is no way to describe. I may not hear for another year the sound was so loud and good!
Football season is ALMOST here. Can’t wait for my Crimson Tide to start the season. Who are you pulling for this year? Do you have any tailgate or gameday recipes that are MUST TRY. Let me know. Have a great day.

I’m stalking a country star! I don’t mean to be, but I feel I am. It’s not who you would think that I would stalk either. Now Tony and I are always honest with you about who we are friends with, or artist that we know but are not really pals with. Charles Kelley of Lady A has to think I’m stalking him. In Nashville, I’ve run into him at Target a few times, Heading up to play golf one day, he was coming out, went to a party at Martina McBride’s house and we ran into each other there. It all started when Tony and I went to the Bruce Springsteen show with a mutual friend who took Charles and his wife also. Anyway, I went to lunch the other day and all of Lady A walk in and sit at the table next to me. Long story short. I’m NOT stalking Charles. He’s got to be thinking, I see this guy everywhere. I’m going out of my way to not see him now just so he does not think I’m stalking him. LOL.
Hate what happened in Indy. That was just so sad to see the video. I hope that venues take some sort of safety measures after seeing that. It’s up to 5 people now that have died.
Tony and I are tossing around the idea of a “Second Hand Heart” party in a few places around the country. If you have not heard Danny Gokey’s new song it is great and the lyrics are amazing. It’s about two people that have been through a bad relationship and have found each other. We think anyone that has been through a divorce or break up will love it.
My songwriting hobby is really fun. It’s amazing that songs ever get on the radio but two that I’ve been a part of seem to be getting traction and who knows. In a year or so you may hear them on the radio. I’ll keep you posted.

Hope you are well. Had a very busy weekend here in Nashville. Had a nice Friday night with friends at a place called the Wine Loft and Sambuca. I tried to grab some videos from the bands that night. There are always bands in every place playing and most of the time they are pretty good.
Saturday night was Jake Owen/Keith Urban. You know I like motivational quotes and stuff like that. Keith sent me an email and I loved the quote he has at the bottom of his emails and thought I’d share it with you.

You know how bad the economy is now. A friend of mines mother is trying to get work and she was having trouble. She started a business in her apartment complex. She’s calling it “Mom Stuff”. She makes 10 bucks an hour to organize your kitchen, closets, do some laundry, and run errands for you. I thought that was pretty clever and she’s doing really well at it. What are some things you do to make a few extra bucks in these times?
