Here’s a first look at the new season of “Stranger Things.”
Fox aired a teaser for the highly anticipated second season of Netflix’s acclaimed supernatural series during Super Bowl LI on Sunday night, and it did not disappoint.
The teaser also revealed a release date for the new season: Halloween 2017.
Though there are few details available, it is known that
the show will expand its cast with familiar faces, like Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, and comedian Brett Gelman. The newcomers will, of course, join returning cast members Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin (sorry, Barb). What the characters will be up to and what they’ve learned from their encounter with the Demogorgon and the Upside Down remains unclear at the moment, and will likely stay that way until season 2 premieres.
What We Know-
“Season 2 is bigger and potentially darker in its stakes. The threat, which in Season 1 was to Will Byers, has grown. That’s all I’m going to say! But, I will say Season 2 has a bigger cast and is definitely loyal to the kind of magical storytelling that we established in the first season. It’s character-based and still about our core group of characters.”
