Kris’ Blog – I Need Your Help If You Can Cook

Chef Kris?

I have never been one to cook. I’ve always been to impatient to take the time to prepare, cook, clean, etc. when I can just order a pizza and be done with it. It’s kind of imagessad isn’t it. I’m 44 and never really learned how to cook. Anyway, as I’ve been working on getting in better shape it actually has been fun to learn a few things. My favorite thing is still that buffalo chicken dip, and the burgers and steaks but I want to expand some more. I’m asking a favor, send me recipes that are quick, easy, and good for a bachelor to make. I usually cook something so I have enough for leftovers the next day. I also am shooting for 1,000 calorie meals or less. While we are on the subject, anyone have a suggestion of a great panini press to get or grill (like a George Foreman grill). I’d love to get your ideas and suggestions.

If you were closer to me then I can just show you a few things. But what I do that has been helpful is to watch all the interesting cooking shows on your local PBS channel plus use cookbooks. My newest one is by Melissa Gilbert with her Prairie cookbook from Little House on the Prairie. Love that one. Also you can catch up with Paula Deen too. Or Ree Drummond of Pioneer Woman.
Best of luck to you. Also clean up as you go which makes it easier.
