Let me start with the year-end cliche’ – “I can’t believe another year is almost over!”
It’s true. 2014 seems to have flown by & it was a year of big changes for me.
I finalized my divorce (after 2 years of being separated), saw my youngest turn 18 & make some terrible life choices (but you can’t force them to be smart, can you?), saw my son graduate from a music college & start living his dream of touring with a band, and welcomed my oldest home again for a brief period before she goes back to college to work towards becoming a veterinarian.
I was also lucky enough to have Katie move in with me last spring. I was resigned to being alone for the remainder of my life, figuring once a long-term marriage fails how do you get back into a relationship? She changed that in a big way & I can honestly say I’ve never been happier.
Yes, 2014 is almost over & it wasn’t all sunshine, but it was memorable & life-changing. I can’t wait to see what’s waiting for me in 2015.
Merry Christmas to you & your family and my best wishes for a happy & prosperous new year!
