Kris’ Blog – The Past Few Weeks

Unknown-3 The year is coming to a close and thought I’d tell you about the past couple of weeks. I of course am a bit bummed about the IRON BOWL. That’s what makes that game so great though, it’s always a battle and always exciting. Luckily, I have a lot of classy Auburn fans that are friends and not rubbing in it, much like when we win, I don’t rub it in. Roll Tide! We will get ya next year.
IMG_2693 I had the pleasure of heading to the Virgin Islands for the HITMAKERS AND RUMCHASERS EVENT which was so much IMG_2614fun. To give you a little backstory, I’ve been songwriting for about 2 years now and learning everything I can. A friend Carolyn Miller has started this songwriter showcase in the Virgin Islands and it was such a blast and learning experience. I got to spend time with Kent Blazy, Phil O’Donell, Danny Myrick, and Kendell Marvell. Google them and you will be amazed at the amount of country music that they have created. I encourage you to get to one of these events if you have the opportunity. The next one is in March.

I have nearly completed a year of some of my goals. I started the year saying I was going to get in better shape, I’m down from 22% body fat to 12% body fat. I’ve branched out with new writers in town and I’ve networked and learned more on how the songwriting thing works. We have also grown the Tony and Kris show.
Speaking of the Tony and Kris show. I just want to say a THANK YOU to all the radio station Pixelmator picturemanagement folks that have added and play our show. We know in this corporate world, it is easy to pick a show that is forced on you. We appreciate you trusting us with the great listeners of country music. Tony and I also want to thank each and every listener out there. It means the world to us that you let us be a small part of your life. Have a great day! My next blog will be about my goals for the coming year.

Great post, my friend. Your fitness goal is inspiring me to set my own. I’ve decided that 2014 is the year that I am taking control of my fitness and health thru eating better and getting back into the gym.

I’m excited that my Auburn Tigers are playing in the BCS Championship game again this year. I enjoy our interactions about teams and appreciate your classiness. The state of Alabama has become THE college football powerhouse state. I’m very proud if our home state. War Eagle!

As always, it brings me much happiness for you and Tony to wake me up each morning. Keep up the good work! Love you both!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
